FILM TECHNICIAN TRAINING
This two-week subsidized intensive program is designed to equip participants with the essential technical knowledge and certifications needed to become employable assets in the film and television industry.
The course encompasses a wide range of key elements, from basic set orientation/etiquette and comprehension of hierarchy, logistics and communications to practical hands-on technical training in a variety of departments, safety procedures and working around animals. Participants will also acquire vital administrative skills, inclusive of comprehension and execution of paperwork, accounting procedures, and financial management.
By working in partnership with Union guilds: ACTRA Alberta, DGC Alberta, IATSE 212, PFI’s training gives learners direct access to qualified industry professionals and their network of industry contacts to better assist in opening doors for additional mentorship opportunities and/or potential long-term employment for productions shooting in and around the area and throughout Canada.
